“It's difficult to find words today”. Arteta spoke about Arsenal failure in the match with Newcastle

Matchweek 10 in the Premier League kicked off with a surprising defeat for Arsenal, as they fell 1-0 to Newcastle.

Following the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta acknowledged that his team deserved the loss.

Quote: "We deserved to lose today. I think we started very well and were in control. However, we didn’t defend our penalty area well enough. Credit to Newcastle—they scored a great goal from a good delivery.

They pulled us into their style of play, and we couldn’t play the way we wanted. We had two big chances—Merino had one, and Rice had a moment as well. But we lacked efficiency.

We can say whatever we want right now, but today it’s difficult to find the right words. We need to respond to this defeat on the pitch come Wednesday night in the Champions League,” Arteta stated.

Recall: If Manchester City and Liverpool secure victories in their respective matches later today, they’ll pull eight and seven points clear of Arsenal, respectively.
