In the near future, Manchester City will have to play without their main goalkeeper, Ederson.

According to Sky Sports, the Brazilian goalkeeper will be sidelined for four weeks due to a hip injury. This means he will miss the quarter-final match against Newcastle in the FA Cup, as well as games against Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

In these matches, the backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega will be playing, who replaced Ederson in the second half against Liverpool (1-1).

Ederson will also miss the friendly matches for the Brazilian national team against England and Spain. The main goalkeeper of the Seleção, Alisson, is also unavailable due to injury.

To recall, Ederson sustained his injury following a collision with Liverpool's forward Darwin Nunez, resulting in a penalty awarded to Jurgen Klopp's team.

In the current season, Ederson has played in 36 matches across all competitions, keeping 12 clean sheets.
