The Football Association of England has made a decision that may not please all fans of the England national team.
According to Fabrizio Romano, England's head coach Gareth Southgate will remain in his position regardless of the outcome of the Euro 2024 final.
Initial negotiations between the Football Association and Southgate have already taken place. The management is convinced that Southgate should be the one to prepare the team for the 2026 World Cup. The coach has already agreed.
Southgate's current contract with the Football Association of England is set to expire at the end of this year.
It's worth noting that Southgate is only the third coach in history to lead his team to two consecutive European Championship finals.
The 53-year-old manager has been coaching the England national team since the summer of 2016.
The Euro 2024 final between Spain and England will take place on Sunday, July 14.
