It has been revealed where De Bruyne got food poisoning before the match against Real Madrid

Manchester City's leader Kevin De Bruyne missed the recent match against Real Madrid (3-3) in the Champions League quarter-finals due to food poisoning. According to the Daily Star, the club managed to determine where exactly the Belgian contracted his illness.

According to the source, De Bruyne got food poisoning from the food at the hotel where Manchester City stayed. It is suspected that De Bruyne placed a separate order apart from the rest of the team. Therefore, he was the only one affected by the food poisoning, while all other players were fine.

The club is conducting a special investigation to determine which specific food item caused the illness.

De Bruyne has already recovered and resumed training with the Manchester City squad. It is expected that he will miss the match against Luton but will be ready for the second leg against Real Madrid, scheduled for Wednesday, April 17.
