Ibrahimović would never have stood by and watched from the sidelines.

Details: Legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović delivered a fierce response to Leandro Paredes’ behavior following the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. The conflict centered on the Argentine, with Eric García and Gavi also drawn into the fray.

Speaking live on Fox Sports, Ibrahimović stated:

“The Spanish players just stood there watching an opponent hit their teammate. Paredes is lucky I wasn’t on the pitch… I would’ve headbutted him and been sent off.”

The Swede also slammed Paredes’ actions as unprofessional. According to Ibrahimović, Spain’s players should have intervened immediately to defend their teammates.

After the final whistle, Paredes clashed with Eric García, which then sparked an altercation with Gavi. Players and coaching staff were forced to intervene to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Notably, following this outburst, Ibrahimović announced he would be stepping down from his role as a television pundit, a position he held throughout the World Cup.

Reminder: Emotions run high! World Cup final ends with Paredes and Gavi brawl on the pitch. VIDEO.
