Details: FIFA has officially confirmed that Leandro Paredes will not face disciplinary action following the World Cup final.
During the match, initial reports indicated that referee Slavko Vincic had sent off the Argentine midfielder after an incident in which Paredes appeared to grab Gavi by the throat. However, the red card was later removed from the official match report.
According to BBC Sport, FIFA confirmed that after further review of the incident, no disciplinary measures were taken against the player.
As a result, the episode had no consequences for Paredes, and his sending off was not included in the final official documentation of the match.
