Inzaghi commented on the early conquest of the Scudetto in the 2023/24 season

On April 22nd, the Milan derby took place in the 33rd round of Serie A between Milan and Inter. The game ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of Inter.

Thanks to this victory, Simone Inzaghi's team officially became the champions of Italy for the 2023/24 season.

After the match, Inzaghi commented on the early conquest of the Scudetto:

"The feelings are wonderful; we have achieved something incredible, and there are many heroes: the players, the club, the president, who is not here now, but has always been close.

Every day we work diligently with the goal of becoming stronger. I think from the first season, from the first match in the Champions League, when we faced Real Madrid, who later won the final against Liverpool, there was a good foundation, and in the end, we won six trophies.

My journey has been wonderful. I will always be grateful to Lazio, which gave me the opportunity to start working as a coach. Everything was going well for us, and I remember the championship interrupted by the coronavirus, in which we fought until the end. Lazio wanted to continue the collaboration, but something told me that changes were needed.

Many advised me not to go to Inter, but something told me that I needed to go here. I knew many people in the management, and we knew that we could continue the cycle. In tough times, we let the talkers talk, but today they will talk less," Inzaghi said.
