Inter Milan may bid farewell to defender Francesco Acerbi at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport, the club may make this decision for two reasons. First and foremost, the Inter management was displeased with the defender's behavior following the racist scandal involving Juan Jesus.

The club had requested the defender to conduct himself discreetly after the verdict was announced, but he, on the contrary, gave several interviews on the matter.

Furthermore, Inter is concerned about Acerbi's age. The Italian national team player is already 36 years old, and the club aims to rejuvenate the central defensive area.

Recall that during the Serie A match between Inter and Napoli, there was a confrontation between Acerbi and Jesus on the football field. The Brazilian approached the referee and said that the Inter defender had called him a racial slur. Acerbi denied all accusations against him. As a result, the Inter defender was found innocent and managed to avoid disqualification.

This season, the 36-year-old Acerbi has played 32 matches in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
