Inter is awaiting the results of the investigation by the International Federation of Association Football (FIGC) regarding the alleged racist remarks made by Francesco Acerbi towards Juan Jesus during the Serie A match between Inter and Napoli on March 17th.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Il Corriere dello Sport, and Tuttosport report that Inter believes in the innocence of their player but will respond firmly if the Italian defender is found guilty of racism.

If the Nerazzurri defender is found guilty, he will be suspended for a minimum of ten games, effectively ending his season. Additionally, Inter's management may fine the player. Furthermore, the club may even question his future at the club.

During the Inter-Napoli match, a dispute arose on the football field between Acerbi and Jesus. The Brazilian approached the referee and claimed that the Nerazzurri defender called him a racial slur. Acerbi, naturally, denies all accusations against him.

As a result of this unpleasant incident, 36-year-old Acerbi was even excluded from the Italian national team's upcoming friendly matches. Gianluca Mancini from Roma was called up in his place.
