Inter defender Francesco Acerbi has been acquitted of accusations of racism towards Juan Jesus during a Serie A match against Napoli on March 17.

This was reported by the reputable Italian insider Nicolò Schira. According to his information, the Italian national team defender has been found innocent and completely cleared of all charges.

During the Inter-Napoli match, Acerbi and Jesus were involved in an altercation on the football field. The Brazilian approached the referee and claimed that the Nerazzurri defender had called him a racial slur. Acerbi denied all accusations against him.

As a result of this unpleasant incident, the 36-year-old Acerbi was even suspended from friendly matches with the Italian national team. Gianluca Mancini from Roma was called up in his place.

The Milan club also increased pressure on the experienced defender. The club was even prepared to terminate the contract with the player if he had been found guilty.
