Last night, in the MLS regular season, Inter Miami visited Nashville.

The visiting team was missing their star players, as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were called up for international duty. While the Argentinian was competing in the continental tournament, his team fought in the domestic league.

Inter Miami looked clearly better from the start and achieved their goal towards the end of the first half. After a corner kick, Ian Fray won the aerial duel and sent a precise header under the crossbar. Just four minutes later, Jordi Alba reminded everyone of his pedigree. The former Barcelona player struck the ball into the net from 25 meters out with a precise second-touch shot.

In the middle of the second half, Yannick Bright fouled an opponent in his own penalty area, conceding a penalty which Hany Mukhtar successfully converted. Both teams tried to score again until the end of the match, but neither succeeded.
