Italy failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and they have now decided on their new head coach.

Details: According to Guillaume Pacini, after Pep Guardiola turned down the opportunity to take charge of the Azzurri, the federation decided that Andrea Pirlo would be his successor. His contract will run until 2030, with a salary of €1.5 million. An official announcement could be made very soon.

We previously reported that the Italian Football Federation had held talks with Carlo Ancelotti over the vacant position as head coach of the national team.

Reminder: We recently reported that the Spanish coach does not plan to accept an offer to take charge of the national team. The reason behind this decision has also been revealed.
