Details: According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Andrea Pirlo has emerged as one of the leading candidates to become Italy's next head coach.

Alongside Pirlo, Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini also remain in contention for the vacant position. No final decision has yet been made regarding the next manager of the Azzurri.

Following Italy's unsuccessful World Cup qualifying campaign, Gennaro Gattuso left his role as head coach. Italy Under-21 manager Silvio Baldini is currently serving as the national team's interim coach.
