There is no place for such incidents in the world of football.

Details: Today, Chelsea’s official X (formerly Twitter) account announced that several of the club’s supporters were attacked by Napoli fans ahead of the Champions League matchday 8 clash, set to take place later today in Naples.

According to the club’s press service, two English fans suffered stab wounds after being assaulted by Napoli ultras while walking through Naples the day before the match. Chelsea reports that the victims are not in any life-threatening condition, and their injuries are classified as minor.

The club has urged its fans to avoid any provocations and to remain vigilant and cautious while in the streets of Naples on matchday.

Currently, Napoli sits 25th in the overall Champions League standings and is out of contention for the Round of 16 playoffs. To keep their hopes alive for the next round, the Neapolitans must defeat Chelsea, who are in 8th place and have already secured qualification.
