Impending resignation? Milan gives Fonseca two more matches to turn things around

The start of the season has been challenging for AC Milan, as the team has collected only two points from three matches. Milan has drawn against Torino and Lazio, and suffered a defeat to newly-promoted Parma. According to Sky Sport Italia, Paulo Fonseca’s future as head coach is already in jeopardy.
There are ongoing discussions within the club about the potential dismissal of the Portuguese coach, who was appointed after a lengthy selection process in which several candidates were considered to replace Stefano Pioli.
Reports suggest that while Milan’s management has not yet made a decision on firing Fonseca, his future could change depending on the outcomes of crucial matches at the end of the month.
On September 17, the team will face Liverpool in the Champions League at San Siro, followed by a derby against Inter in Serie A a few days later. The results of these matches could influence the management’s decision regarding the head coach, meaning Fonseca risks losing his position just six weeks into the new season.
