"I’ll throw a party for everyone!" Jürgen Klopp jokes about Manchester City’s potential FFP punishment
Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp revealed his humorous plans if Manchester City were found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations and stripped of their Premier League titles. Speaking to Daily Mail, the German joked that he would host a grand party and invite all his former players.
“We had this discussion when I left. I haven’t spent a lot of time in Majorca because I am always flying around the place. But if it would happen, I told all the people who wanted to (come): “Just book a flight to Majorca. I will buy the beer!” We’d have our own parade in my garden!” Klopp quipped.
Klopp stepped down as Liverpool manager at the end of the 2023/24 season, citing the need for a break. After seven months of rest, he resumed work in early 2025 as the global head of football operations for Red Bull.
The charismatic manager led Liverpool from 2015 to 2024, winning the Champions League in 2019, the Premier League in the 2019/20 season, and several other trophies. Klopp also guided the Reds to two additional Champions League finals during his tenure.
