Ian Wright criticized Arsenal's poor performance in the match against Newcastle
Legendary Arsenal player Ian Wright harshly criticized his former team's performance in the match against Newcastle at St. James' Park. Wright is particularly concerned not just about the result, but about the quality of the Gunners' play in recent matches.
Quote: "It was a very poor performance for a team that is supposedly contending for the title. At this stage of the season, after ten games, we shouldn't be playing so tepidly. We’re not creating enough dangerous chances and not putting enough pressure on the opponent.
This is not good enough for a team that is fighting for the title, so there is still a lot of work to be done. We can’t keep saying we’re missing Martin Ødegaard, because we know we’re missing him," said Ian Wright.
Reminder. It’s worth noting that before the start of the season, Arsenal was considered one of the main favorites to win the championship. However, the start of the season for Mikel Arteta’s team has not been the best: in ten matches, the Gunners have managed only five wins, suffered two losses, and drawn three times.
