"I inherited a very good squad". Arne Slot shared his opinion on the lack of new players

With just one week remaining until the transfer window closes, Liverpool has yet to sign any new players this summer.

However, the team's new head coach, Arne Slot, is not overly concerned. He expressed his confidence during a press conference ahead of the match against Brentford.

"No new signings yet? I'm not worried; I trust the team. I inherited a very good squad. Last weekend, the players showed that they have earned that trust," Slot said.

It's worth noting that Liverpool's first summer signing is expected to be Georgian national team goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, though he is anticipated to remain at Valencia on loan for another season.

In the opening round of the Premier League, Liverpool secured a 2-0 away victory over Ipswich.
