"I am devastated." Manchester United star commented on the decision not to include him in the Euro
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has commented on the decision not to take him to the 2024 European Championships.
"I am devastated by not being selected to play for the England national team at the Euros this summer. Despite all my efforts, I couldn't overcome my calf injury. Perhaps I pushed myself too hard trying to do so. I'm just utterly devastated.
Representing England is the highest honor for me. It means everything to me. If I can't contribute to the team as a player, I'll support them as a fan - alongside the rest of the country. Go and win it, lads. I'll now return to the Manchester United medical team to prepare for the upcoming season," commented Harry.
Earlier, it became known that Southgate excluded attacking midfielder James Maddison from the Euro 2024 squad, as well as Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish and Liverpool central midfielder Curtis Jones.
In the European Championship, England will play in a group with Slovenia, Denmark, and Serbia. And the Daily Sports team tells you what you need to know about the Three Lions ahead of the tournament.
