How to play in the US Open final? Sinner injured his hand, but managed to break Federer's record

Last night, the men’s singles semifinals of the US Open took place. In the first match, world number one Jannik Sinner from Italy confidently defeated 25th-ranked Jack Draper from Great Britain.
The match featured several unusual incidents. Earlier, we reported that Draper became ill on the court. However, Jannik Sinner also suffered an injury.
In the second set, towards the end of the ninth game, the Italian, retreating for a shot, awkwardly landed on his left hand. Sinner immediately grabbed his wrist and wrapped it with a towel. His expressions clearly conveyed immense pain. After the game, he took a medical timeout but returned to the court after receiving treatment.
At the moment, the extent of Sinner’s injury is unknown, and it remains uncertain whether it will hinder him from playing in tomorrow’s final.
Notably, this victory marked Sinner’s 22nd win in Grand Slam tournaments this year. In the 21st century, only Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray have achieved such a feat within a single year.
Regardless of the US Open final outcome, Jannik Sinner has surpassed the 10,000-point threshold in the ATP rankings. Previously, only Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Pete Sampras, Daniil Medvedev, and Andre Agassi had reached this milestone.
Additionally, the Italian broke a record held by the legendary Federer. Sinner became the youngest tennis player to reach the finals of both hard-court Grand Slam tournaments in a single year. He made the Australian Open final, which he won, and now the US Open final. Interestingly, Sinner beat Federer’s record by just 13 days. The Italian achieved this at 23 years and 21 days old, while Federer did so at 23 years and 34 days.
