"He's a legend". Mbappe spoke about Ronaldo and the Portuguese national team ahead of the face-off

France national team captain Kylian Mbappe shared his expectations ahead of the quarter-final match against Portugal in the Euro 2024 tournament.

Today's match between France and Portugal kicks off at 21:00 Central European Time.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a legend, but we must not forget about the other dangerous players. We need to be cautious of all Portuguese players and not just focus on one. Ignoring great players usually comes at a high cost.

I don't think I'm at one hundred percent. I'm not someone who looks for excuses, but to be truly explosive and fast, I need good physical preparation, which I will get with the club this summer. But this is the quarter-final, and I'm ready to give everything to help my team. We can become European champions, and I want to seize this opportunity with the other guys.

We have ambitions to become European champions, but first, we need to reach the semi-finals. We have to take a big step in the match against a very strong team. At the moment, we are only focused on this, not on what has happened so far or what may happen afterwards," Mbappe said, quoted by UEFA.

Earlier, Mbappe commented on the results of the parliamentary elections in France, calling them a “disaster.”
