Here we go! Zinedine Zidane returns to the coaching bench

A new chapter begins in Zidane's coaching career.

Details: French football legend Zinedine Zidane is set to officially become the new head coach of the France national team in the coming days.

According to Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, the decision regarding his appointment was finalized as early as November, and since then, the coaching change has been virtually a done deal. Over the past few months, Zidane has assembled his own coaching staff, with all necessary documents expected to be signed within this month.

The French Football Federation is counting on Zidane to usher in a new era for the national team. He is expected to lead Les Bleus in the Nations League, the 2028 European Championship, and the 2030 World Cup.

This will be Zidane's first experience managing at the national team level after a stellar club coaching career, during which he famously won three consecutive Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
