In 2023, Jordan Henderson made the decision to leave Liverpool and join Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia. However, just six months later, in January of this year, he terminated his contract with the Saudi club and returned to Europe, signing with Ajax. Yet, the Englishman has not found the playing time he had hoped for in Amsterdam and is now contemplating a return to England.

Details: After it became clear that Henderson was open to leaving Ajax, several Premier League clubs, as well as Championship teams, expressed interest in taking him on loan, according to The Sun. The report does not specify which clubs are involved. However, tax implications from his swift return to the UK following his stint in Saudi Arabia in 2023 could complicate such a move.

Public reaction may also influence Henderson's decision to return to England. His move to Saudi Arabia sparked outrage among fans due to the country’s stance on LGBTQ+ rights, as Henderson had long been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Moreover, when he left Liverpool, he still had a valid contract, and both the team and its fans had counted on his continued presence.

Reminder: Liverpool received £12 million for Henderson's transfer to Al-Ettifaq, where he reportedly agreed to a salary of £700,000 per week. During his six months with the club, he made 19 appearances, providing five assists. This season, Henderson has featured in 11 matches for Ajax, contributing two assists.
