He won't solve all the problems. Guardiola commented on De Bruyne's return
The Manchester City manager shared his thoughts on Kevin De Bruyne's return. After the victorious match in the FA Cup against Huddersfield, the City coach expressed joy but noted that the Belgian wouldn't solve all the team's problems.
"Kevin won't solve all our problems. We won't achieve big victories if we're not united. In many aspects, we are getting better. I know Kevin can handle the pressure, but I don't want to put all the responsibility on him because it's unfair. He needs to be part of the process.
We have players who can make runs, and we have a guy who can find the right pass. Kevin is exceptional, unique. He played well. We thought it was better to bring him on in the second half rather than start the game when it's more crowded in terms of space.
For Kevin, it's about building up his workload in training more than in matches at the moment. He's not ready to play 90 minutes yet, but he'll get the chance against Newcastle.
We're delighted he's back because Kevin helps us win games – there are few players like him. We can play well, but Kevin, Holland, Foden, Alvarez – these guys win games. That's why Kevin's return is so important," - Guardiola stated.
It's worth noting that Manchester City's next match is on January 13th away against Newcastle as part of the 21st round of the English Premier League.
