Turbulent times at Liverpool are troubling the Anfield legend.

Details: In an interview with TNT Sports, 45-year-old former Liverpool captain and central midfielder Steven Gerrard shared his thoughts on Mohamed Salah's controversial interview and the club's response.

Gerrard did not openly side with anyone, but insisted the conflict must be resolved peacefully because Liverpool needs Salah.

"He is obviously very upset not to be playing, and I respect that. He clearly wants to help the team, and I respect that too.

A couple of phrases about throwing people under the bus—that's not right. You need to step back a bit, talk it over with the manager.

Virgil van Dijk should ask: 'How are we going to resolve this?' And it's not just about the club or the team, it's about the fans." Gerrard said.

Gerrard also recalled facing similar situations during his own playing days:

"I've seen it and lived through it myself with Luis Suárez, when he clashed face-to-face with Brendan Rodgers. I went through that myself.

No one is perfect, and all of us as players have had emotional lows and made mistakes. I think, given time, when things settle down, Mo will say: 'I shouldn't have said that. Maybe I shouldn't have said it, I was a bit emotional and rushed.'"

Ultimately, Liverpool needs Mo Salah to get back to his best, playing well and scoring goals again," Gerrard added.

Steven Gerrard is a Liverpool academy product. He progressed through all of Liverpool's youth teams before being called up to the senior squad in 1997.

He made 710 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 186 goals and providing 156 assists, becoming a true Anfield legend.
