The legendary striker's mother emotionally shared her feelings and revealed what her son said after his high-profile walkout from the national team.

Details: Dolores Aveiro, the mother of Portugal's longtime captain Cristiano Ronaldo, spoke candidly about her feelings after her son's controversial departure from the national team's camp following a conflict with head coach Jorge Jesus.

She admitted that she could not hold back her tears as she struggled with what she considered unfair treatment of the forward. According to Dolores, her son deserved to leave through the front door, but the circumstances forced him to exit through the back door. She stressed that Cristiano had given everything to his country and had always been a national hero who was no longer appreciated enough.

Dolores also quoted the words of the 41-year-old marksman from their recent conversation: the footballer urged his mother not to worry and promised to reveal the full truth about backstage intrigues and deception on the part of the coaching staff once the entire family got together.

“I am sad. My son could have left through the front door, but he left through the back door. But it is nothing serious—God will take care of him. I cried a little. It is good to let the burden off your shoulders. We have to get through this. He told me: ‘Mum, don't worry, I will tell the truth when we are all together.’ And I replied: ‘All right, son, deal with it.’ He has always been a hero for Portugal. He is not appreciated enough.”

It is worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo's walkout triggered a major split in Portuguese football, while the veteran had previously made it clear that he would not wear the national team shirt as long as Jorge Jesus remained in charge.
