Hamilton left furious with Mercedes' decision at the Singapore Grand Prix

At the recent Singapore Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton, despite starting third on the grid, finished the race sixth. As the Mercedes driver himself believes, the fault is the strategy that the engineers chose for this race.
He started the race from the softs, while his neighbours on the grid started from the medium, which led to Hamilton's early run in the pit lane and lack of advantage over the other drivers in the finishing laps. Speaking after the race, Hamilton made no secret of his displeasure with the decision:
‘They had already said the night before that they wanted to split the cars and I was a bit puzzled by that. I understand if George Russell did well in qualifiers and I didn't make it into Q3 or something like that, but we were so close it didn't make sense to me.
I fought as hard as I could to drive on the medium, but the team kept suggesting I start on the soft and when they changed tyres everyone was already on the medium. I was so angry,’ Hamilton is quoted by Sport Bible.
