The Norwegian forward of Manchester City Erling Haaland has recovered from injury and rejoined the team's collective training. On January 3rd, the Norwegian participated in the Citizens' training session alongside his teammates.

Consequently, the forward will be available to assist Manchester City in their match against Huddersfield in the English Cup on January 7th.

Haaland last appeared on the field during the match against Aston Villa (0-1) on December 6th. The Norwegian striker missed the end of the year due to an injury. His injury also ruled him out of the Club World Cup, where the Citizens emerged as the victorious team.

City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, had previously mentioned his anticipation for the forward's return in January.

In 2023, Haaland secured the second position in the Ballon d'Or voting, trailing only Lionel Messi from Inter Miami. Previously, the Norwegian was recognized as the best footballer of 2023 according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).

In the current season, the forward has netted 19 goals in 22 matches for Manchester City across all competitions.

Manchester City currently occupies the third position in the English championship table. Guardiola's squad has accumulated 40 points from 19 matches.
