Guardiola commented on the possibility of coaching the Spanish national team
Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, responded to a question about whether he would consider coaching the Spanish national team in the future.
The City manager, originally from Catalonia, avoided giving a direct response, stating that he is happy with his current position at the club.
“Managing Spain? I'm so really happy being here with Man City. Really, really happy. I do have one more year on contract. Hopefully they don't sack me and I can stay here to work in this club.” Fabrizio Romano quotes the coach.
Just to remind you, Guardiola joined Manchester City in 2016. His current contract with the team extends until 2025. Under Pep's guidance, the Sky Blues secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League trophy and clinched the Premier League title five times.
This season, the team has shown inconsistent results, currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League, trailing the leader by five points.
Earlier, the coach himself mentioned that he's open to leaving Manchester City at the end of the season and specified the conditions under which he would depart from the club.
