Spanish Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, suddenly started talking about leaving the English team.
At a press conference after the match with Aston Villa in the 15th round of the Premier League, in which the “citizens” lost with a score of 0:1, the Spaniard said that there was one condition for his resignation. The coach's words are quoted by the Daily Mail.
"If we win the treble this season, I will make the decision to leave the team. I understand that this is very difficult given the history of English football and the quality of the teams. Only one team has done this before under Alex Ferguson, and we repeated this success in last season,” the coach noted.
It is noteworthy that Guardiola came to Manchester City in 2016. His current agreement with the “citizens” runs until 2025.
After 15 rounds played, Manchester City is in fourth place in the Premier League and is still six points behind the leader Arsenal.
