Greenwood's replacement? Marseille target another forward from a top Premier League club
There has been much talk recently about Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood's move to Marseille, however, public pressure may force the Provençal's to scrap his transfer and find a replacement.
The team, led by Roberto De Zerbi, have decided not to go far and have identified a new potential offensive line reinforcement in the same Premier League but at another club. According to Foot Mercato, Marseille are making the first moves to sign Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah.
The 25-year-old forward is ready to move to another club, but it's too early to talk about a transfer as such. Between the parties have only passed the first negotiations, the transition itself is at the initial stage, but, talks are positive.
It should be noted that the bad past of Greenwood in view of his transfer did not cause optimism among Marseille fans. Thus, even the mayor of the Provençal city called on the club to refuse the transfer of the forward of Man United.
