Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has made the squad for the first time in a long while.

Details: Real have officially confirmed that Dani Carvajal is included in the squad for their La Liga Matchday 18 clash against Betis.

Carvajal hasn’t featured since October 26, when he played against Barcelona. Since then, the defender has been recovering from injury and steadily regaining fitness.

It’s still unclear whether Carvajal will get minutes against Betis, but his inclusion in the squad is the first step toward a full return to the pitch.

It’s worth noting that before his injury, the Madrid captain made eight appearances across all competitions, the most memorable moment being a red card in the Champions League clash with Marseille.
