Girona set to loan Manchester City player

Manchester City have made it clear to the player that he is not part of their plans for next season and are seeking a loan move for him.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, Manchester City’s management do not want to part ways with young defender Juma Ba, but they also cannot offer him enough playing time for his full development.
The only logical solution has become a loan move, allowing the player to gain valuable top-level experience and potentially return to the team in the future ready for a bigger role.
One of the possible destinations for his career is the Spanish side Girona, who have already contacted the player’s representatives and could soon begin direct negotiations.
The 19-year-old Ba joined Manchester City in January 2025 from Valladolid for €6 million, but was immediately loaned out to French side Lens, where he played the remainder of the season, making just 10 appearances.
Now, upon returning from loan, Ba’s future has once again become a pressing issue for City’s management.
