Kai Havertz has once again made his mark for the German national team at the 2026 World Cup.
Details: The Arsenal midfielder found the net in the 54th minute of the round of 16 clash against Paraguay, leveling the score at 1-1. This goal was Havertz’s third at this World Cup.
Earlier in the tournament, Havertz bagged a brace against Curaçao in the group stage as Germany stormed to a 7-1 victory. Now, the midfielder has scored in the knockouts as well, cementing his status as one of the team’s most prolific players at the tournament.
The assist for Havertz’s goal came from Florian Wirtz. The Liverpool midfielder now has three assists at the 2026 World Cup.
Before the Paraguay match, Wirtz set up Felix Nmecha against Curaçao, and Leroy Sané in the clash with Ecuador, a match Germany lost 1-2.
