At the moment, Julian Nagelsmann has no intention of leaving his post as head coach of the national team and is not planning to resign.
Details: According to insider Florian Plettenberg, despite the mounting pressure, the coach has received public backing from the German Football Association (DFB) sporting director Rudi Völler.
"Julian is still a top coach. I am still convinced that he is probably the right person who should continue the job. But I do not represent the DFB alone. It is not only my decision," Völler said.
Völler's position highlights that, despite his trust in the coach, Nagelsmann's ultimate future with the national team will depend on a collective decision from the German Football Association leadership.
It should be noted that the head coach's position became shaky after Germany's elimination by Paraguay in the round of 16.
Reminder: Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann criticized Julian Nagelsmann following the World Cup exit.
