Genoa is nearing the sale of one of Serie A's top forwards from last season, Albert Guðmundsson.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the Icelandic national team striker is close to transferring to Fiorentina.
The player's medical tests are scheduled for Saturday. If successful, the transfer will be officially announced.
Last season, Guðmundsson scored 14 goals and provided 4 assists in 35 Serie A matches, making him one of the top scorers in the league.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated Guðmundsson faced allegations of rape in his home country.
Previously, the president of Genoa evaluated the possibility of transferring the Icelandic national team forward this summer.
