Frenkie de Jong has suffered an injury and will be sidelined for Barcelona for some time, but speculation has already emerged around the situation, prompting him to address the issue himself.

Details: The player wrote that it is difficult for him to see people questioning his relationship with the club and his commitment to Barcelona because of false reports.

Quote: "Dear fans,

I usually don't pay much attention to what is written about me, the team or the club. But recently, there has been a lot of speculation about my injury and my situation at Barça.

It is difficult for me to see people questioning my relationship with the club and my commitment to it because of false reports. Football is everything to me, and I have always given everything I had for Barcelona and my country. That is why I want to explain what happened.

During the World Cup, I suffered a knee injury. After the initial examinations, the doctors told me that it was a minor injury and that it would not get worse if I continued playing. The only difficulty was playing with some pain, but throughout my career, I have done that whenever I could help the team — both at club level and with the national team.

During my holiday, I returned to Barcelona for further examinations. They showed that the injury was more serious than initially thought. Fortunately, surgery is not required at this stage, and I am now fully focused on recovering and returning to the pitch as soon as possible.

Every day I work to be in the best possible shape. I take my profession, my body and my responsibility to the team extremely seriously. But sometimes things happen that are beyond your control, and this injury is one of them.

I am incredibly proud to play for Barça and the Oranje, and my commitment to both teams will never change. I will continue to give everything for this badge, my teammates and our fans.

There are still many moments ahead that we have to create and goals that we want to achieve together. Thank you for your support. I can't wait to return," the statement read.

Reminder: The relationship between Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and the Dutch midfielder has completely broken down.
