Details: Barcelona has released an official statement on Frenkie de Jong's health following a medical examination.
The diagnosis confirmed that the midfielder has suffered a tear of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee.
The club has decided against surgical intervention at this stage. The player will undergo a course of conservative treatment and remain under constant supervision from the medical staff.
The timeline for de Jong's return has not been specified yet. Barcelona noted that the player's condition and recovery progress will be regularly assessed over the coming weeks, after which a further rehabilitation plan will be determined.
