One match could mark the end of Frenkie de Jong's career at Barcelona.

Details: According to journalist Gerard Romero, the relationship between Barcelona's head coach Hansi Flick and the Dutch midfielder has completely broken down. The conflict erupted ahead of the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atletico.

Reports say de Jong was medically cleared to play. Flick asked the midfielder to spend about 60 minutes on the pitch, but de Jong refused, insisting he did not want to risk his health.

After this, the German coach reportedly lost all trust in the midfielder and no longer counts on him. De Jong himself is now said to be considering leaving Barcelona.

It’s worth noting that the midfielder is currently recovering from a serious knee injury. According to AS, Hansi Flick is already planning for the start of the new season without the Dutchman.

Reminder: Changed their minds? Barcelona want to keep their forward.
