Free agent former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Cassius Mailula linked a move to Kaizer Chiefs

Cassius Mailula could end up at Kaizer Chiefs.

Sources within the Chiefs camp suggest the club has approached the former Mamelodi Sundows, Toronto FC and KV Kortrijk man ahead of he upcoming Betway Premiership season.

Mailula was released by MLS side Toronto FC last week following a lacklustre stay at the club.

The USA side tried in vain to loan out Mailula Wydad Casablanca in Morocco and KV Kortrijk in Belgium but the player has not returned to form which made the team sign him.

But now the explosive striker is touted for a move to Amakhosi who have a penchant habit of signing out of contract players.

That he has no suitors presently, Mailula is likely to take the Chiefs offer as the team has only announced Thabo Moloisane and Renaldo leaner so far as their new players.
