Four days until the start of the season. Barcelona lost two players due to injury
Barcelona suffered a crushing 0-3 defeat to Monaco in the Joan Gamper Trophy match, and the bad news didn't end there for Hansi Flick.
According to Diario, Lewandowski and Gündoğan both left the field early due to injuries. The Polish forward awkwardly landed on his arm and exited the field in visible pain and with a concerned expression.
The German midfielder entered the pitch at the start of the second half, but after 15 minutes, he took a heavy blow to the head and left the field in the 67th minute.
As of now, Barcelona has not provided updates on the status of either player's injuries. This comes just four days before the team is set to begin their new La Liga season with a match against Sevilla on August 17.
Notably, this marks the first time since 2012 that Barcelona has lost the Joan Gamper Trophy match.
