Former Yamal teammate believes fans did not see the winger's best version at the World Cup
Spain won the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but young star Lamine Yamal did not have the most spectacular tournament. However, some believe this is far from the end of the story.
Details: Yamal's former teammate Robert Lewandowski believes that fans have yet to see the winger's best version at the World Cup.
Quote: "The best Lamine, for me, was not last season but two seasons ago. He is still young and came to the World Cup after an injury. He had not played for almost eight weeks, so it is difficult when you go straight into a World Cup after recovering without having had proper training.
"But he showed really good quality. Spain helped Lamine, and Lamine helped the whole team. I think that this cooperation was perfect," the Polish striker said.
However, FIFA says it has found no evidence that sports betting influenced any of the World Cup matches.
Reminder: An Argentine fan has launched a petition demanding that the 2026 FIFA World Cup final against Spain be replayed.
