Former Liverpool and Tottenham player Steven Caulker announces retirement

He has a goal to his name for the England national team.

The time has come to hang up his boots after a vibrant and eventful career.

Details: Today it was announced that former Liverpool, Tottenham, and England defender Steven Caulker has retired from professional football at the age of 33.

Caulker's last club was Icelandic side Stjarnan, which he joined as a free agent in July of this year.

Caulker made his name playing for Liverpool, Tottenham, QPR, Southampton, and Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe. Notably, he scored a goal for England in a friendly against Sweden in 2012.

In 2022, Caulker opted to represent Sierra Leone at international level, earning 18 caps for the national team.
