The Frenchman spent the majority of his managerial career in England, leading London’s Arsenal from 1996 to 2018, which means he knows English football inside out. According to Wenger, physical endurance will be the key factor for success at the upcoming Mundial:
"In my view, England are one of the favorites for the World Cup. They are always close to victory—semifinals, quarterfinals, finals.
They need to take the next step—they have everything required to do so.
The nation that remains a team and has the stamina to stay united with a deep squad throughout the tournament will have a huge advantage." Wenger stated.
Arsène Wenger managed 1,234 matches at the helm of Arsenal, winning 715, drawing 267, and losing 252. In May 2018, Wenger announced the end of his coaching career, stepping down as Arsenal’s head coach after 22 years.
