Real Madrid wrapped up their season at home with a win over Real Sociedad. The result had no bearing for the team, but it marked Carlo Ancelotti's last match at the helm.
Kylian Mbappé, however, had his own mission. The French star continues to top La Liga's scoring charts, and he netted both goals in today's match, bringing him even closer to securing the Golden Boot.
The Frenchman has now scored 31 goals in the competition, moving past Sporting's Viktor Gyökeres to take the outright lead. Only Salah can catch him, but the Egyptian would need a hat-trick in Liverpool's match against Crystal Palace tomorrow to do so.
Remarkably, this campaign — his debut in a Real Madrid shirt — has seen Mbappé score 43 goals in 56 appearances.
