Manchester United is preparing to announce an interim head coach ahead of the Manchester derby scheduled for next week. The main candidates are the club's legendary former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and ex-midfielder Michael Carrick.
After Ruben Amorim's dismissal, Darren Fletcher temporarily took charge of the team, but the club's management is considering appointing a more experienced interim coach for the remainder of the season.
Solskjaer, who previously managed United from December 2018 to November 2021 and then spent seven months at Besiktas, is expected to arrive on Saturday, January 10, for personal talks about returning to the interim role.
It's noteworthy that the Red Devils are searching for an interim coach, with a permanent manager to be appointed at the end of the season.
