Manchester United's head coach Erik ten Hag has made an unexpected decision regarding the starting lineup for the 31st matchday of the English Premier League against Chelsea.

For the first time in 2024, Brazilian winger Antony will start in a Premier League match. The last time he was in the starting lineup was on December 30 last year when Manchester United lost to Nottingham Forest 1-2 away.

It is worth recalling that Manchester United paid Ajax 95 million euros for Antony in the summer of 2022. However, the 24-year-old Brazilian has had a disappointing season. Antony has appeared in 23 Premier League matches (11 as a starter) but has not registered any goal involvements.

However, Antony scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist in 3 FA Cup matches. In particular, he scored a goal in the quarter-final match against Liverpool (4-3).
