If things continue this way, Salah risks missing the World Cup.

Details: At today's press conference ahead of the 31st round Premier League clash against Brighton, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot stunned journalists and fans by announcing that the team's 33-year-old Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will not play tomorrow or in the next few matches due to injury.

According to Slot, Salah will also miss games for the Egyptian national team:

“Mo Salah has a muscle issue, so he won't be available this weekend and will also miss the international fixtures,” Slot said.

Mohamed Salah was substituted in the 74th minute of the Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Galatasaray. At this point, it's unclear how long the Egyptian star will be sidelined, but if these injuries persist, Salah's participation in the World Cup could be in serious doubt.

On March 27, Egypt will play a friendly against Saudi Arabia, followed by a clash with Spain on the 30th, and according to Slot, Salah won't be available for either game.

Reminder: Missed opportunity. Mohamed Salah fails to convert penalty against Galatasaray
