Espérance Coach Confident Ahead of Sagrada Clash
Espérance Tunis head coach, Laurențiu Reghecampf, has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for their final CAF Champions League group-stage match against Angola’s Sagrada Esperança on Saturday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Reghecampf stated:
“Tomorrow marks the end of the group stage, and we want to conclude on a high note with a win. I believe the players are fully prepared to give their best performance.”
Despite already securing qualification, Espérance, tied at 10 points with Pyramids FC, seeks to finish atop Group D. The coach acknowledged upcoming challenges:
“Beyond the Champions League, we must refocus on the Tunisian League. As for the striker situation, I won’t discuss it before the match, but we’re working to resolve issues swiftly.”
Reghecampf also emphasized the difficulties in choosing a team, pointing out that only four foreign players are permitted to play in league games, although all can play in continental matches. He acknowledged that the team had to make tough choices because of this constraint.
Espérance and Pyramids will battle for group supremacy in the final round, with both sides guaranteed a quarterfinal spot.
