Esperance Thrashes Sagrada in CAF Champions League to Top Group

Esperance Tunis took first place in Group D of the CAF Champions League on Friday after defeating Angolan team Sagrada 4-1. The host team established their control early in the game, which was played in Rades' Hammadi Agrebi Stadium.
Achraf Jabri, the recent addition to Esperance, opened the scoring in the 16th minute with an assist from Youcef Belaili. The lead was doubled just six minutes later when Brazilian midfielder Yan Sasse netted in the 22nd minute.
Dabanda's goal in the 46th minute gave Sagrada a quick comeback despite their deficit. But Jabri reacted quickly, and after Elyas Bouzaiene's ball in the 55th minute, he scored a second goal. Four minutes later, Jabri completed his hat-trick, completing the win and putting Esperance ahead of Pyramids FC on straight meetings with 13 points.
